2025 National Excellence in Romance Fiction Awards (NERFA) – June 1, 2025
Big news! Sara entered her first book, The Grumpy Guardian’s Redemption into the 2025 National Excellence in Romance Fiction Awards (NERFA) contest— and she’s a finalist in the Best First Book category!
This is a tremendous honor, and she appreciates all those involved in running the contest and all those who judged. Winners will be announced on the first of July.

The Grumpy Guardian’s Redemption book signing event – June 29, 2024
On Saturday, June 29th, Joedy’s Seafood Restaurant invited Sara to do a book signing during their annual antique car show. She enjoyed talking to everyone and even sold a few books. Her author journey has been rewarding in so many ways. Many thanks to all of you who have supported her by reading her books or this website. A few words of encouragement mean everything to her.
The Grumpy Guardian’s Redemption book signing event – May 7, 2024
Sara Walker had her first book signing at the Alma Bacon County Public Library on May 7th at 430pm. More than twenty people came and stayed for the book signing and reading from her first novel, The Grumpy Guardian’s Redemption.
Moonlight and Magnolias Conference 2023 – October 12-14, 2023
Sara and her daughter, Leah Miles, enjoyed being with fellow authors and learned a lot at this year’s Moonlight and Magnolias Conference in Atlanta, GA.
